As a cornerstone to my campaign, I pledge is to raise Sheriff’s officer’s wages, which are on average $5 per hour less than our Washington County municipal police department officers. Simply put, it makes it hard for our hardworking officers to provide for their families, buy a house or prepare for retirement, while everyday putting on a badge and a gun, along with a pledge to use them on our behalf. They deserve better compensation for their hard efforts, and I will work to make that happen.
